An innovative health data start up is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer/Consultant to engineer and support the technical protocols that ensure that the company's systems and data remain secure at all times.

Based in Cambridge, you will be joining a highly technology driven, collaborative team, consisting of PhD. Data Scientists, Software Developers and DevOps Engineers.

The role includes;

Working with Developers in designing, building and maintaining internal security tools, controls and services, automating security processes and investigating/resolving security incidents.

Ensuring the organisation is future proof across Governance, Risk and Compliance when dealing with high volumes of personal data.

Requirements:

Essential: -

  • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud security
  • Experience of selecting, implementing and maintaining security products and services
  • Strong understanding of various security domains such as: IP network protocols and services, user authentication methods, encryption, web applications
  • Strong technical understanding of preventative and detective application and infrastructure security controls and protocols and their implementation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Desirable:

DevOps knowledge - Terraform, CloudFormation

Cyber Security Manager

This is your chance to help create a long lasting Cyber Security function for a well known Media company in London who will provide you with the flexibility and freedom that you are looking for! We are looking for a Cyber Security Manger to work across multiple areas including finance, legal and infrastructure. You will also be working alongside the Risk Director to help secure the Cyber risk to the company.

You will play a key part in my clients Cyber life cycle by helping lead policy and standards implementation, training of junior members of the team, provide your own recommendations on how to improve current SOP's and on a whole ensure the Cyber teams are at an effective constant state of readiness.

The role

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
  • Helping address enquires from colleagues in the business and in technology

and taking ownership of issues from start to finish.

  • Build, develop and maintain a robust, pragmatic risk management capability

that can accurately capture Cyber operational and strategic risks

  • Supporting core capabilities across the team including colleague awareness,

incident management, vulnerability management and data loss prevention.

  • Build a robust but pragmatic Cyber policy and technical standards framework

that acts as a positive enabler for suppliers, group technology and the

Business.

Additional

  • Take ownership in supporting internal audits and necessary follow ups
  • Proactively identify gaps within our Vulnerability management capability and

drive forward recommendations and improvements and mitigation plans.

  • Support the Head of Cyber Security on new initiatives and provide input into

roadmap and budgetary cycles.

  • Take the lead in managing cyber security incidents within specific business

divisions and ensure communication across security and technology teams.

  • Liaise closely with business owners to identify changes to the business and be

proactive in understanding the security implications of such changes and

advise appropriately.

  • Work with the privacy lead for Shared Services to identify any control gaps in

relation to protecting data so that these can be highlighted and actioned

effectively.

  • Manage the vendors in the delivery of cyber security services ensuring they

provide an effective service to reduce the overall risk exposure and support

business processes such as privilege access management, vulnerability

management and penetration testing

Prefered Certifications

  • CISSP
  • CISM
  • ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Lead Implementer
  • Experience implementing Cyber Essentials Plus

This is your chance to use your entire skill set to help my client take their security function to the next level. They are one of the only major airlines to have an in house security team and need your skill set to help it remain effective and efficient. We are looking for a Threat and Vulnerability Manager to join their Team.

You will ensure the integrity and smooth operation of the Security Team, whilst protecting the company from IOC's by managing the threat intelligence and vulnerability management systems. Alongside your passion for Security you will have an innovative approach to security and always look to improve the security posture.

The Role

  • Responsible for ensuring that clear strategies, processes, procedures and guidelines are in place for threat intelligence and vulnerability management, aligned to relevant security policies and standards
  • Produce and disseminate threat and vulnerability management Information, including preparation of reporting material for periodic security groups
  • Identify vulnerabilities using scanning tools, third party and security testing reports
  • Lead the investigation into vulnerabilities, advise on mitigation, root cause analysis and service improvements
  • Working with 3rd parties
  • Creation of Incident reports
  • Provide IT teams with vulnerability focused technical support, training and consultancy to ensure compliance with security polices, standards, compliance and regulation
  • Work with IT Change Management and third parties to ensure smooth running of vulnerability systems
  • Act as a trusted threat and vulnerability management specialist and become the 'Go To' person within IT
  • Introduce new controls through the process of continuous improvement
  • Develop and operate processes and procedures that counteract potential threats and vulnerabilities, Introducing new controls through the process of continuous improvement

Requirements of the Role

  • Depth of experience in IT Technical Security , including time as a security senior practitioner
  • Experience of managing a managed security service provider
  • Experience of using threat intelligence systems and services
  • Demonstrable experience in the identification and implementation of information security technical controls to mitigate vulnerabilities
  • Masters in Information Security (MSc)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Vendor technology certifications specific to threat intelligence, vulnerability management, network security, host security and application security
  • SFIA. level 4
  • Level 4, Senior Practitioner
