Responsibilities
* Operations support for next-generation perimeter security devices.
* Responsible for up-time, reliability, stability and policy maintenance of supported systems.
* Maintains service level agreements of departmental metrics and key performance indicators.
* Work closely with the security team and the business units, providing technical acumen, support and consultation.
* Monitors applications, including setting alerts to maintain the stability of the environment and applications, monitoring error logs, and automating administration tasks wherever possible.
* Serves as key person in troubleshooting system problems, taking ownership of problems to resolution.
* Maintains current description and documentation of policy configuration, including tracking and documenting any changes to policies.


Qualifications
* Minimum of a B.S. in Computer Science.
* Palo Alto experience highly preferred.
* Strong network security background required, ideally with next gen firewall environments.

This role is based in Copenhagen. Fundamentally you will work to enhance the clients subscription service. You will utilise your subject matter expertise to not only win new consulting projects, but also to deliver these projects globally. You will be the cornerstone in the regional Nordic business.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collation, analysis and dissemination of information surrounding global threat actors
  • Ability to think out side of the box when it comes to information gathering
  • Up to date and accurate report writing on consulting engagements
  • Quality control of final products before release to the stake holder
  • Utilisation of subject matter expertise in the winning of new business and clients

Network Security Engineer

Blackthorn Trace have partnered with a global law firm with over 10 offices worldwide. Our client is now looking to add to their existing security team with the hiring of a Network Security Engineer. You will be reporting directly to the Technical Support Team Leader. You will be responsible to own, develop, maintain and provide support leadership for the Firm's global networks and

technology security solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • To be the 'owner' of the Firm's networks and technology security solutions - to be the main contact in respect of developing, maintaining and providing support leadership, business continuity, change management and release management

  • To collaborate with the IT Security team and relevant 3rd party vendors to manage the network security of the information systems by enforcing the policies and processes as defined in the firms ISO 27001 policies.

  • To lead projects in respect of upgrades to networks or new networks, WAN & LAN, as part of office expansion or office move projects.

  • Lead the configuration, installation, replacement and decommission of end of life network equipment.

  • Proactively monitor, analyse, isolate and resolve network hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of networking testing tools and techniques.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with Wide and Local Area Networking.

  • Hands on Experience with Firewalls including- Palo Alto, Cisco and other similar firewalls.

Level 2 SOC Analyst

Do you want to work with a team of experienced Network and Information Security Engineers? Are you ready to put your skills to the test whilst working for an incredibly successful MSSP who advise clients on Cyber Security on a Global scale?

You will be comfortable with working within a SOC and carrying out your normal routine of providing security analysis of customer security events using SIEM tools to monitor and manage systems, whilst assisting in vulnerability management for a portfolio of blue-chip and mid-market customers. You will also have a great work ethic and be willing to go the extra mile.

Whilst working in a 24/7 shift rotation pattern you will be interfacing with a varied array of personnel from infrastructure teams to Heads of operations. Travel to Client sites may also be required depending on work undertaken.


This role requires the following operational skills:

  • Good understanding of Network Security.
  • Ability to provide relevant and timely analysis and recommendations to customers based on analysis of events from a SIEM platform.
  • Customer-facing, with good report-writing skills and strong communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to provide technical and service leadership to L1 and other L2 analysts. Be a thought leader in the SOC.
  • Ability to consistently deliver to deadlines while prioritising competing demands for time, without sacrificing quality.
  • Professional, hard-working and have the ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes, including Change Management, Incident Management and Problem Management.
  • Willingness to share information, improve documentation, and train other analysts.
  • Ability to work on shift rotation

Additional Skill set:

  • Analysis of alerts arising from Security Event and Information Management tools, ideally based on HP ArcSight.
  • Vulnerability Scanning and reporting ideally based on Qualys. Prioritising and tracking remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Experience of network-based User Behaviour Analytics (DarkTrace, ArcSight User Behaviour Analytics etc) advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience of packet-capture tools and analysis of packet flows advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience of security assessment and penetration testing tools advantageous but not essential.

Intelligence Analyst (Content Protection)

We are working with a leading organisation within the UK's music industry, supporting them building an Intelligence function.

Working alongside other content protection specialists you will help to devise and deliver technical and practical strategies to protect digital and physical music content: including bringing precedent setting legal cases; delivering a world leading website blocking programme; removing infringing content from the internet; and disrupting illegal websites & traders.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review, update & manage compliance with procedures, laws & regulations governing evidence, intelligence & investigation techniques & practices within the music anti-piracy field;
  • Manage the Intelligence Management System, including providing support to physical piracy investigators.
  • Investigate online intellectual property infringement and enforce content removal across a variety of online platforms;
  • Work one day per week seconded at the City of London Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit (PIPCU);
  • Liaise with law enforcement agencies & legal departments as required;
  • Prepare intelligence & evidence packages acceptable to law enforcement agencies for adoption & further investigation/prosecution, including submissions to PIPCU;
  • Manage test purchases as well as covert credit cards, covert drop addresses & covert social media accounts;
  • Support the organisations lobbying activities with ISPs & Digital Service Providers (DSPs).

We are working with a global consultancy that has a project ongoing in Paris for a network engineer.

  • 6-month contract

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for troubleshooting migration issues to determine root cause and improving the migration process
  • Working with existing staff across IT within Security, Architecture, Engineering and Operations to ensure issues are quickly isolated and resolved
  • Supporting the development of best practice migration processes to minimize the disruption to End Users
  • Ensuring appropriate knowledge handover to ensure existing teams within Engineering and Operations
  • Representing designs and subsequent change activities to associated teams and governance processes

Requirements

  • Extensive Engineering (as opposed to pure operations/support) experience related to Platform migrations including Active Directory, Windows 10 and Office 365
  • Demonstrable experience in complex root cause analysis
