Our Client is looking for an Azure Practice Manager role to join a fast paced a fast paced and expanding organisation in the Technology sector. You will be providing leadership and governance to ensure quality and the productivity of the team members.

Working as the practice manager is involved in a wide spectrum of activities leading to the success and growth of the team.

The ideal candidate for this will a IT Manager/consulting background and knowledge of industry IT trends within the Public Sector. You will be based in the Reading office but must be willing to travel to client sites. There will be option for remote working for 50% of the time.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with one or more in each of the following:

  • Cloud Platforms: Azure or AWS IaaS and PaaS deployment and configuration

We are working with a global consultancy that has a project ongoing in Paris for a network engineer.

  • 6-month contract
  • Immediate start

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for troubleshooting migration issues to determine root cause and improving the migration process
  • Working with existing staff across IT within Security, Architecture, Engineering and Operations to ensure issues are quickly isolated and resolved
  • Supporting the development of best practice migration processes to minimize the disruption to End Users
  • Ensuring appropriate knowledge handover to ensure existing teams within Engineering and Operations
  • Representing designs and subsequent change activities to associated teams and governance processes

Requirements

  • Extensive Engineering (as opposed to pure operations/support) experience related to Platform migrations including Active Directory, Windows 10 and Office 365
  • Demonstrable experience in complex root cause analysis
  • Must have relevant experience in a Global organisation
  • The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work proactively across End Users, senior management and technical stakeholders
  • Detailed understanding of related technologies: Windows 10, SCCM, Active Directory, Office 365 (including exchange mailbox migrations), Powershell, Application Packaging, Migration tools, End User hardware - Intune
  • Good understanding, to the extent required to support root cause analysis and issue triage, of related infrastructure technologies i.e. Networking, Security etc.
  • Excellent client-facing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours and willingness to travel
  • Understanding of Security, Compliance and Risk considerations as they relate to solution design, implementation and operation within global organizations
  • University degree or college diploma in a relevant field

CCIE Network Engineer - Contract

We are working with a Consultancy looking for a CCIE Network Engineer, specialising in IT Infrastructure Transformation Projects, to support our client, a multi-national company within the Insurance industry.

Position

  • Supporting a multi-million pound investment in a range of infrastructure consolidation, upgrade and improvement transformation activities.
  • The successful candidate will have substantial experience as a Senior Network Engineer, with extensive experience of network monitoring platforms and tools
  • The focus of your role will be to work as a Cisco Network Engineer driving the delivery of these new and enhanced services into the production environment
  • A large part of the role will include ensuring smooth integration with the broader IT environment therefore an appreciation of the technical and end user implications of the transformational activities as they relate to infrastructure and core services is required i.e. End User, Network, Directory Services, Security etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with technical leads, team managers, service owners, solution owners, IRM and other engineering SMEs to determine product and solution selection while addressing specific business and application needs
  • Design and deploy Data Center Networks utilizing industry best practices and Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure and Nexus 9k platforms
  • Provide product ownership for the network service, and ensuring continual improvement of that service
  • Develop and perform migration from traditional data centre network designs to Cisco ACI.
  • Integrate services appliances to Cisco ACI deployments to include Application Delivery Controllers and Firewalls.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
  • Create Low Level Design, High Level Design, Implementation Plan, and Acceptance Test Plan documents.
  • Perform installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of customer managed hardware, software and peripheral devices.
  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.
  • Oversee/perform new and existing equipment, hardware and software upgrades.

Requirements

  • 10 years in a highly technical role that spans multiple disciplines
  • Extensive knowledge of current and upcoming technologies / trends
  • Basic knowledge of routing and switching technologies
  • Certified as CCIE
  • Provide technical expertise with regards to the following software and hardware technologies: CISCO WLAN, CISCO LAN, MAN, ACI, SD - WAN, MPLS, VPN, CISCO IPS, QOS, Firewalls, Proxies, F5S, WAN Optimisation, Fibre, Ethernet, Cloud Network Configuration
  • Experience configuring and deploying enterprise-class networks including the following products:
    • Cisco Catalyst Switches
    • Cisco Nexus 7k/5k/2k Switches
    • Cisco Nexus 9k Switches
    • Cisco ASR / ISR Routers
