Job Description - Infrastructure Engineer

My Client is based in central London and is currently looking to speak to a number of candidates looking to progress their careers within IT. This role is an Infrastructure Engineer who is willing to support a number of their high-profile clients.

This permanent position is offering a base salary above market value and give you the opportunity to progress within a busy environment.

Key roles/Activites

  • Development and maintenance of standard desktop images
  • Hardware evaluation and testing
  • Proactive problem resolution to streamline operational support and remove bugs
  • Application packaging and deployment
  • Systems administration operations including responsibility for but not limited to:
  • Antivirus
  • Backups
  • Package distribution
  • Patching services
  • ..and other services for which responsibility may be assigned
  • Active Directory maintenance and support
  • Telephony maintenance and support
  • Cloud Service administration
  • Installing, maintaining and configuring the server element of client/server systems
  • Installing, maintaining and configuring server software and hardware platforms
  • To arrange for external technical support where problems cannot be resolved in house
  • Analysing incidents and identifying underlying root causes with the objective of reducing/preventing future recurrences
  • Any other duties as directed by the line manager
