With a focus on intensely developing strategy this opportunity will allow you to demonstrate your expertise as well as being provided with exposure to technical environments that will enable you to gain experience in areas away from those of your primary role.

Our clients DevOps team are transforming the way in which their products are being delivered to their clients. As their DevOps Engineer, you will not only play a key role in the transformation but also in ensuring their strategy isn't just reflected in the way they work but it is a driving behaviour in everything they do.

Responsibilities

  • Defining and maintaining our environment strategy.
  • Ensuring the availability, performance and readiness of our test and pre-production environments to support our release aspirations
  • Maintain and enhance our environment monitoring, ensuring we can provide a real time view on availability and performance.
  • Develop, own and maintain our environment build automation process.
  • Develop, own and maintain our environment backup process.
  • Own, track and provide regular updates on all environment issues through to resolution.
  • You uphold the principles of DevOps and work constructively to plug gaps where traditional role-orientated silos exist.

Key skills / Requirements

  • Experience scripting in PowerShell/Python.
  • An in-depth understanding of cloud architecture, environment build and networking (OSI Model, firewalls, proxy, DNS etc.)
  • Microsoft SQL Server development/administration experience (e.g. troubleshoot stored procedures and analyse SQL code)
  • Experience with the ELK Stack
  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting Windows/Linux servers, AD, Web Servers (i.e. IIS, Tomcat)
  • Octopus, Teamcity, GIT or similar automation toolset
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teams to identify the right environment strategy to achieve our joint goal of Continuous Delivery and Automation.
  • Knowledge/interest in Infrastructure as Code (i.e. Terraform, Ansible)

Senior DevOps Engineer

Currently looking for a Senior Devops Engineer to join a global Betting company,

A member of our DevOps team needs to work closely with development and infrastructure to ensure fast and reliable continuous integration and to help facilitate the move to the cloud. DevOps is part of the technology department and as such, it is expected that a candidate has a passion for technology and is always seeking to increase their knowledge and skills.

You will have:

  • The ability to learn and master new technologies rapidly. As technology changes, you will be required to move with the times and become a master in your own right. You'll need to be a self-starter, not always relying on official / scheduled training. We need someone who loves learning, and who is able to teach themselves.
  • Experience using Azure Technologies, including (but not limited to):
    • Azure DevOps (VSTS) - designing and implementing release processes for development teams
    • AppInsights and Azure Monitor - experience troubleshooting applications (PaaS, SaaS, etc) using AppInsights and Log Analytics. Familiarity with writing queries using Kusto query to determine root cause of outages/problems.
    • Azure Functions / PaaS / SaaS - familiarity (or experience with) building functions / apps with native Azure technologies. (Note: you don't need to be a developer, just understand how Azure works, how the technology fits together, and how to troubleshoot these apps when they break)
    • Azure Container (including Kubernetes service) - experience in building container services to host and manage new or legacy systems.

DevOps Engineer

My Client is a leading concierge event business looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Platform team to help us monitor and maintain our systems as well as improve and maintain a microservices architecture running on self-managed Kubernetes clusters in AWS.


Working closely with the Development team and as part of a DevOps team of four, you will be a member of an agile function with a focus on monitoring and maintaining CI environments, problem-solving and debugging with the developers, ensuring self-service for environments and releases and streamlining site reliability functions.

Cloud Engineer

As Cloud Engineer based in London you will be embedded directly within a development team you will be involved with the services you manage from their inception. We are ideally looking for someone from a development background that has production experience with AWS or is looking to specialise in cloud technologies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a standard EKS/Kubernetes cluster to host teams services
  • Create deployment pipelines for stress free releases
  • Provide input and expertise in development team design sessions
  • Provide and maintain logging, monitoring and alerting solutions
  • Design and own our AWS accounts and infrastructure inside
  • Ability to make code changes to integrate supporting tooling or prepare service for the cloud

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (C#,Java,Node etc)
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Powershell,Bash etc)
  • Solid understanding of core AWS services
