Blackthorn Trace has partnered with an innovative and market leading Business management consultancy. They are looking to hire Penetration testers to join their technical security functions both in their Cambridge and London offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality security assessments, meeting client expectations
  • Support our sales team with pre-sales scopes and technical input
  • Produce written and verbal reports to clients to an excellent standard.
  • Share knowledge with colleagues and assist with the mentoring of other team members

Desired Requirements:

  • 2 years plus working as a full time penetration tester
  • Proficient in performing a variety of penetration tests such as infrastructure, web application, mobile application, secure code analysis etc.
  • Client oriented, able to communicate with all levels of an organisation with appropriate technical content
  • You will be at advantage if you hold either CREST or CBEST

How would you like to work for one of the top security consultancies that are at the forefront of cybersecurity solutions? The opportunity is for penetration testers who are eager to develop their craft and showcase their ability to a range of this consultancy's client bank.

Within the role, you will be conducting a range of penetration tests including; network infrastructure, web application and social engineering. You will be part of a full testing cycle, you will be involved with scoping calls with prospective clients, where you will be providing technical insights across to delivering a comprehensive final report.

What is required of you:
Be a self-motivated individual that can work within a large team
Possess strong communication skills enabling you to converse with all members of a client's organisation with appropriate technical language
Have experience leading and deploying a range of penetration tests such as; web application, mobile application, and infrastructure and secure code analysis etc.
Contribute and be interested in delivering CREST accredited hacking training
Support the pre-sales team with technical knowledge and input
Produce written and verbal reports to clients of a high standard
Industry recognised qualifications such as CREST, CPSA/CRT or equivalent (TIGERscheme/CHECK)
Fit requirements of security clearance

Penetration Tester - Cyber Threat Intelligence

We are working with a world leading Intelligence Consultancy in the search for a Penetration Tester. This is genuinely a unique opportunity to work with some of the worlds best Intelligence professionals on regulator led threat assessments.

Overview:

The primary role of the Recon Consultant is to create 'targeting reports' and technical profiling for the clients. This work predominately supports the Threat Assessments, Attack Scenario Generation and Threat Monitoring. The role is incredibly interesting and requires an inquisitive mind, attention to detail, high levels of technical capability and an 'attackers mindset'.

Though the primary role is to support Intelligence Operations, the position also allows (dependent on skillset) a variety of other opportunities. These include; toolset development, independent research, internal penetration testing and the possibility of some (but limited) external client testing (skillset dependent).

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' working as a penetration tester
  • Professional qualifications - CREST, OSCP, Tiger
  • Experience creating own scripts and tools
  • Experience working with well known commercial testing frameworks / toolset / platforms
  • Be able to demonstrate wider Cyber Security knowledge
